The return of puppy play frenzy

The puppies' lives have returned to normal.

Play1

First Bonnie was spayed, followed by 10 days of strictly enforced no-rough-play-time.

Play2
As they know of no other way to play, that meant no play-time.

Play3

They had to be walked separately and let outside to pee seperately.

I played with both of them – but it just wasn't the same.

Play4

Bonnie got the all-clear and they spent 3 happy days tearing up the front garden before it was Guapa's turn.

Play5

Guapa wasn't nearly the baby about it all that Bonnie was.

Play8

Although she did vomit for a day after the surgery.

Not much fun for her; less fun for me.

Play6

She was much harder to keep quiet and Bonnie was no help at all.  She encouraged all the misbehavior she could.

She had no sympathy.

Play7
Yesterday Guapa had her stitches out and the vet said she could resume play.

He suggested that I get some 'American football clothes' for myself.

Full padding might be just the thing.  At least when they knock me over I might bounce.

  1. All of a sudden, their paws befit their size. I think maybe they have gotten as big as they will. Beautiful dogs! Are they as big as a Saint Bernard, or more like collie-size?

  2. Zoomie, I think they have another 3 months of growing – but I don’t think it will be a lot. They’re not as big as a Saint, yet, but their great, great auntie Emma was.
manningroad, they are soooo happy they can play again!
