'Any color – so long as it's black' was Henry Ford's answer to what color his cars were available in. Have you ever stood in the window of a tall building and looked down on the street or parking lot? The cars are all the same color! When I first noticed this phenomenon, 15 years ago, all of the cars were red, with the odd blue, black or gray thrown in for flavor. Now, at least here in France, it's a monochrome sight: every shade possible between silver and black. Occasionally there will be a very dark blue, rarely red. The only spot of color is the bright yellow 'La Poste' trucks; and all Berlingo's (the Euro equivalent to the work-aholic pick-up truck) are white.
Why do I tell you this? We're picking up our car today. It's black. We had a choice: black, black, black or very, very dark (kind of muddy) gray. We debated long and hard (yeah right – we went for the demo…!) and decided on black. Supposedly it will be ready, all paperwork completed (about 7.5 inches) and ready to roll shortly. So we're off. I'll finish this post – either with pictures (oh joy!) or (AAAAARRGGHH!) when we return. I think we'll take the girls with us to see if they fit…..
