And may it bring you your heart's desire…
Of course, that means you have to figure out what that is…
Your heart's desire, I mean.
I've never been one for New Year's Resolutions.
If it's important, like exercise, weight loss, eating more healthily, why wait?
If it's not important, why bother?
On the other hand, the beginning of a new year is a good time to reflect on the changes one would like to make to one's life path.
Making a resolution to do something you don't really want to do (but think you ought) never works.
Spending a few moments searching your own heart to find out what makes it sing….
Now, that's important….
Here's one for me:

Wistful wisteria . . .
Happy new year!
Gorgeous wisteria. Yup, that makes my heart sing, too.
Happy New Year, Katie!
Yes the lilacs are one for me too…a promise of Spring and all that 2009 has to offer. It has been so enjoyable following your blog over the past year. I look forward to being inspired and laughing myself silly.
Happy New Year to you too!
Happy New Year!
I actually made a resolution, more like a serious conversation with myself, I guess. And I decided this year I will do something I have been wanting to do for a long time. We’ll see what happens. I like the way you said it: spending a few moments searching our heart… Indeed, that is important at all times.
Wishing you a year of peace and joy.
Same back to you! Have a wonderful 2009!
Oh what a beautiful post! Yes, let’s make it a wonderful year.
Happy New Year to you!
Happy 2009!
Now that’s a resolution worth working for… happy new year, Katie. May 2009 bring you all the heat, light, plumbing, and high-speed internet connections you could ever want!
Happy New Year Katie!
I think putting meaning into the year is a great goal.
ps I was in the southern Alps…
Happy New Year! Your glasses are beautiful!
Happy New Year. Hope 2009 is a great one for you!
This would be a good time of year to start a list of fun things you _must_ accomplish by the end of the year, rather than worthy or healthy things. Why not make a New Year’s resolution to have more fun? 🙂
Thanks for all the warm wishes everyone – and right back to you… Happy, Happy New Year – and hopes for a better 2009!
