The Bread Baking Babes do coffee
Cake, that is.
Coffee Cake.
The BBB's maintain that it IS a bread as it has yeast and does not have icing.
If it had baking powder and icing it would be a cake.
So, it's a bread.
But it's called a cake.
Streusel Potato Coffee Cake
Might I just add – who cares?
A rose by any other name and all that bit…
It was universally (almost) declared delicious.
And they look pretty darn tasty as well.
We really should do coffee more often.
Tanna, of My Kitchen in Half Cups, is our Host Kitchen for this month. Drop by her place for a coffee, a slice and details on being a Bread Baking Buddy this month.

Awesome you are. Thank you always.
They do look good.
And now I’m going to take it savory if I can figure out what to do with that 3/4 cup brown sugar.
Wow, they all look so beautiful together!
Tanna, for a savoury version, I’d be inclined to omit the sugar entirely, or perhaps add a tablespoon at most.
Gorgeous coffee cakes! Yes, you are all babes indeed 🙂
Wow, what a spread! Thanks for the round up again Katie! (I love your B’s!) Hope this comment will register this time.
Tanna, oh, savory sounds interesting….. – brown sugar and bacon?
Elizabeth, I think bacon!
Joey, love coffee cakes.Thanks.
Baking Soda, oh dear, I hate hearing about blog problems = glad it finally worked… Thanks…
