Bread Baking Babes get twisted

Let's twist again like we did last summer.

Or not.

Bread Baking Babes want a cuddle.

Or not.

Maybe that's a twisted cuddle…..

Oh well….

There's a bit of history behind all of these lovely Oatmeal twists.

To read about it, and all about the variations, you'll have to visit Elle, of Feeding my Enthusiasms, our host kitchen for June.

The one universal truth in all this is that every Babe was excessively pleased with the Twists….. whatever flavor.

Get the recipe (and history) for Summer Oatmeal Twists on her blog, as well as the details on becoming a Bread Baking Buddy this month.

In the meantime, scroll down and drool…..

  1. And yours truly who was doing everything else besides what she was supposed to do.. (well I did some of the things I was supposed to do as well). Thanks for the roundup Katie!

  2. Wow – I make my own bread – due to being diabetic – and wanting know exactly what is in my food – but never tried anything like these twisted knickers from the Baking Babes. Can’t wait to take a peak at some of the websites you’ve posted here Katie. As usual, you make me smile at what I’m about to make next. Tho’ with current heat wave with 30-40C temps here in Montreal – no baking being done in my home. Tho’ I did do abit of weeding today – and ran thru’ the sprinkler to cool down!

  3. Hey thanks Katie for this, I have not tried my hands on baking fresh breads and this is going to be really helpful, thanks for stopping by at my space 🙂

  4. Baking Soda, it’s so easy to get distracted when we have so very much to do LOL
Elle, thanks – why do weeds grow so much faster than everything else…
Tanna, you are so very welcome!
Anna, happy to be of use…. I rarely bake bread anymore because the hubs, also diabetic, has found one that he likes for sandwiches and doesn’t like to deviate. He likes to keep his regime simple….. The Babes have lots of great breads – have fun!
Anamika, you are welcome – on both counts 😉
