Spinach and Goat Cheese Flan, pretty spiders — 5 Comments

  1. I have a Christmas spider similar to these on my tree each year. I was told it comes from a folk tale about a family so poor that they couldn’t afford to decorate their tree, but on Christmas Eve a little spider came and spun silvery webs all over it and made it a thing of beauty for the family. I search eagerly for my Christmas spider each year when I open my box of ornaments.

  2. I would have these spiders for my grandboys, not to scare them from touching the ornaments but because they’re boys: snips and snails and puppy dog tails and all that. And I love your flan recipe; saving it to make this winter – for two.

  3. Kate, not for me either…. shudder….

Tanna, the hubs is always happy with spinach and goat cheese…. No spiders came home with me.

Zoomie, I didn’t know there was a story?!? How sweet – now I want to go back and get one…. Maybe. LOL

Christine, and they’d use the spiders to scare me – as boys do LOL. Hope you like the spinach – good for winter…. for two….
