Bread Baking Babes are put on bread and water

Bread and water with a little bit of salt makes excellent Chapatis.

That’s what the Bread Baking Babes did this month – they made excellent Chapatis.

Elizabeth, of Blog from OUR Kitchen, and our host kitchen for the month, decided bread and water was all she wanted to eat, er, I mean, bake with after the excesses of the holiday. (Too many Nutella Brioche Flowers Elizabeth?).

You’ll find the recipe, based on one by Madhur Jaffrey, BBBlogoJanuary2015on her blog as well as an excellent video showing just how easy they are to make.

She said they were easy…..

She had hers with a Green chili omelet, but I’m thinking a lentil stew would be fantastic, cold winter and all that. Head over to Blog from OUR Kitchen for the recipe, video and instructions plus the details on how to be a Bread Baking Buddy for this Indian flatbread.

  1. Tanna is right. They ARE easy!

Lentil stew sounds like a good idea (I’m not entirely convinced about the sausage and sauerkraut though). But I’m going to have them with palak paneer first.

  2. Tanna, now I need saurkraut…. Thanks for reminding me LOL

Elizabeth, you’re convincing me – maybe the next time I make soup.

Cathy, ah, the truth comes out…. Thanks ;-))
