Shrimp Scampi on Quinoa, we’re back — 7 Comments

  1. What a lovely dish Katie. In my neck of the woods it would definitely be called shrimp. Plus it is a gluten free dish…a must try for me! Glad you are up and running again! 🙂

  2. Garlic prawns would be the terminology here and it has given me an idea for my husband’s birthday next week! You were fortunate to be back on line after five days – it took us nearly four weeks last summer after a lightening storm. We’d unplugged everything so the fault was definitely on their side. To give them their due, they did pass a credit for the time we were offline plus a bit extra for the inconvenience. It is amazing how dependent we have become upon the internet, particularly when things like recipe books are thousands of kilometres away.

  3. Thanks, Ina… it is good to be connected again!

Gill, a friend of mine was off for 4 weeks last summer, too – no phone or TV either. Scary! And so much worse when you’re already far from home.

sullumaybe, it was really driving us crazy… Did we not have so many questions before the internet? Better access to stuff creates more questions?

Zoomie, well looking through the photo albums was fun ;-))

  4. Glad you are back. 5 days is a long time to be off-line. I guess you don’t have a smartphone with 3G access?

I also have always been curious about “scampi,” so enjoyed your research. I, like you, had assumed it was Italian for shrimp, or rather for prawns.
