The Bread Baking Babes discover Flower Power

Russian Chrysanthemum Bread

How fitting for November, as the shops here are all filled with chrysanthemums – plus it’s my favorite fall flower. It’s one of the few that could still be blooming in Minnesota this time of year.

I digress…..

Back to the Babes.

Lien, of Notitie van Lien, and our host kitchen for the month, decided on a bread she’d been wanting to bake for a bit….

According to Lien it can be savory or sweet or vegetarian or whatever….BBB logo November 2015

The only limit is your imagination.

You know the Babes are an imaginative lot (who only occasionally follow directions).

We have pizza and cranberry and lamb and, and, and….

You’ll have to look for yourself and pick a flavor.

Then join the fun! Go to Notitie van Lien for the recipe as well as the scoop on being a Bread Baking Buddy this month.

Oh… And they’re pretty as well as tasty!

  1. “only occasionally follow directions”?? I think you have it slightly off. One of us seems incapable of following any directions at all. (But don’t get me wrong. I don’t think she’s proud of it…. remind me to ask, next time I look in the mirror.)

I love seeing these all together like this! I also love being reminded about the Brioche Flower from last year. Now which one am I going to bake for our Christmas table?! What to do. What to do.

  2. Tanna, directions are just guidelines, right? Helpful hints?

Elizabeth, I was being diplomatic…. something sadly lacking in the political scene these days lol I loved the brioche flower. I want bread! Sigh…..
