Egg Bagels, to be precise.
I love bagels.
When I lived in the US the supermarket I used to shop in had a bagel section in the bakery with all kinds of sweet and savory bagels. Every week I bought too many…. And ate them all.
I have never seen a bagel here. I’m sure they exist but not in the middle of nowhere, farm country, France.
I shall just have to make due with chocolatine, which is known in the rest of France as pain au chocolat.
Karen, of Bake My Day and our host kitchen for the month, was looking for a recipe that was relatively fast and easy to modify, both for special diets and quantity
She chose Egg Bagels.
And then, knowing the hearts and minds of the Babes (and the fact that they can never follow a recipe without tweaking, sometimes beyond recognition) she gave four, (yes, 4) alternatives.
You are asking yourselves if that was sufficient or did the Babes come up with yet more variations….
Have a look for yourself.

Here are some of the Bagels of the Babes….
And that’s it for the Babes in November…
