Ciambella Mandorlat, An Italian Easter Bread

The Bread Baking Babes celebrate Easter, Italian style…..

Ciambella Mandorlata

According to Aparna, of My Diverse Kitchen, our host kitchen for the month, this is a traditional Easter bread from Bologna (one of my favorite Italian cities).

It’s a ring (ciambella) shaped bread flavored with almonds (mandorlata).

Some people think languages are so hard!

This is a slightly sweet (there is also lemon in it), brioche-style bread that keeps well – if you can manage not to eat it all.

If you are looking for an easy bread, but festive and a bit showy bread to make for this Easter, or any day, visit My Diverse Kitchen to get the recipe and the details for being a Bread Baking Buddy this month.

Here are the Babes’ Ciambella Mandorlata….
