Sourdough Sunshine Loaf
It’s shaped like the sun and made with a blend of rye and white flours for a golden, sunny color.
Okay, I’ll admit it…. when I looked at the first Babe’s post I thought it was meant to resemble an octopus.
Then I read on. A loaf shaped like the sun is much more appetizing.
Cathy, of Bread Experience, our host kitchen for this month, says that this is based on a Scandinavian bread and meant to be the ‘table centerpiece’.
She made a few adjustments, converting the recipe to sourdough, and making it somewhat smaller so it fit on a baking tray.
