Miso Pork, Slow Cooker

Miso Pork

I used boneless pork chops cut into strips for this but any cut of port will work.


  • 12oz (360gr) pork chops, cut into pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 red pepper, sliced, sliced cut in half
  • 1 rib celery, sliced
  • 12 carrots, cut into sticks (about 3oz, 90gr)
  • 4oz (120gr) butternut squash, cut into sticks
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (8oz, 240ml) chicken broth
  • 2 tbs miso
  • 1 tbs tapioca
  • 1 tbs sesame seeds


  • Put the onion, pepper, carrot, celery, squash, garlic, and pork in the slow cooker.
  • Mix chicken broth, miso, and tapioca.
  • Add to slow cooker, stir well, cover and cook, low heat, for 6 hours.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds when serving.


We had this over Basmati rice. You could also serve it over noodles or quinoa.
