Pepperoni Rolls – Bread Baking Babes are spicy!

Who doesn’t like a little spice in their life?

Especially after the (possible) excesses of the recent holidays.

Reminiscent of the pizza rolls of my youth, these can be large for lunch or small for snacks.

You can dip them in pizza / marinara sauce or eat them on the run.

According to Elle, of Feeding My Enthusiasms, and our host kitchen for the month, Pepperoni Rolls are a West Virginia treat that can be found everywhere.

They’re a staple at fairs and markets but also available at gas stations.

People have been known to scoff at gas station food but sometimes, in the right station, one can get very lucky and find great treats. (A fresh octopus salad at a gas station in Spain comes to mind.)

Elle does say that while the Pepperoni Rolls from the gas station were good, these are better.

Keeping with non-tradition, not all of the Pepperoni Rolls made by the Babes have pepperoni in them. There are also mushrooms, marinated peppers, and…. Well, you know the Babes.
