I love kebabs!
I love the flavors and I love the fact that I can do the prep work early, then relax while some one else does the cooking.
It looks nice to have the meat and vegetable on the same skewers – and you can do that if you partially pre-cook the vegetables.
I can’t be bothered.
Plus, I prefer to (have mon mari) do it all on the grill, and, as the different foods have different cooking times, I arrange them on the skewers accordingly.
Serve with fragrant Basmati rice or simple couscous.

If you like the lamb and veggies on the same skewer, pre-cook the veggies a bit so it’s all done without overcooking the lamb.

Hector has found a new trick.
You know how people will teach small dogs to sit up with their front paws in the air?
Hector has figured out that he can do that…. almost.
He leans against the corner of my desk and puts both front paws on my leg… when I’m sitting at my desk, of course.

And then I tell him what a handsome boy he is.
He’s very proud of himself.
I finally got a photo of him doing it but I didn’t realize that it was after I was watering.
He also loves to play with the hose….. Thus the wet head.

I will say, Hector looks quite dapper, even wet! Beau has an awful habit of putting his paw on me, but he drags it down me and usually ends up scratching me in the process. I’ve had a cardiac loop recorder implanted in my chest now that sends a constant ECG to my cardiologist’s office and that’s what he tends to hit the most. I can’t for the life of me get him to stop pawing.
Hector paws, too. All the time. I keep telling the hubs he would have a lot of explaining to do if a doctor every saw me lol. I’m getting better at grabbing the paw before it makes skin contact.
Oh what a beautiful dog Hector is ! Clever and pretty !
He is a very handsome boy… and he knows it.
