Potato Salad with Mushrooms and Goat Cheese, my new hoe

Thyme for Cooking Posted on July 16, 2014 by Katie ZellerOctober 15, 2018

Our favorite main course salad is grilled sausages, potatoes, lettuce and goat cheese.

This is my favorite potato salad…..

Do you recognize a pattern?

Warm, crisp, sautéed potatoes, mushrooms and garlic enveloped in creamy, melted soft goat cheese, finished with lots of fresh basil and chives – this is not your ordinary potato salad.

If you like goat cheese it … Continue reading.....

Pasta with Fresh Tomato, Olive and Avocado Sauce

Thyme for Cooking Posted on August 10, 2012 by Katie ZellerAugust 11, 2013

This has been one of my favorite summer pasta dishes for as long as I've been growing tomatoes.

It's wonderful using fresh tomatoes and herbs from your local markets.

Dips and Salsas – Summer foods

Thyme for Cooking Posted on June 27, 2010 by Katie ZellerAugust 12, 2013

Does anyone remember Lowry's Dill Dip or Beau Monde Dip?

They were all the rage at one point – simple recipes: 1 cup of mayo, 1 cup of sour cream and 1 tbs of either of the 2 seasoned salts were the main ingredients.

And the Food Police were attacking Fettuccine Alfredo!

2 cups of fat and enough salt to … Continue reading.....

Salmon and Tuna Loaf with Tarragon Tarter Sauce; the update

Thyme for Cooking Posted on May 31, 2010 by Katie ZellerOctober 9, 2017

Things are finally starting to take shape.  We have walls,

The frame is started for the tub and shower.  They’re going to be elevated a few inches to make room for the plumbing underneath – and ’cause we thought it would look cool.

Important note here: there is insulation behind that pretty turquoise wall!  I do love a warm bathroom…..… Continue reading.....
