I’ve been doing pork chops in the slow cooker every week all winter long. As is usual, this time of year, I start to get bored and want something new. I was doing them differently every week, but still…..
We finally stopped eating winter squashes and I was able to buy a cauliflower…. Exciting times.
I remember my mother had a tiny, 2 oz jar of chopped pimentos in the fridge that she would dole out carefully as a garnish for deviled eggs or potato salad. She usually kept it so long she had to throw the last few out.
This was my third dinner using the slow cooker. (Second attempt review after this recipe.)
I decided I was not going to do any pre-cooking / browning / whatever. Some of the comments I’ve seen discussing slow cooker recipes complain that it’s too much work getting it all organized to make the effort worthwhile.
