Ilva, of Lucullian Delights, was our host kitchen for May. She made a bread from one of my favorite places: The Ballymaloe House, Ireland.
When we lived in Ireland it was only an hour's drive and always a treat to visit.
Because I was off playing with family I missed making this easy White Soda Bread with Herbs.
According to the Babes that did make it it's a snap – and delicious besides.
I do love a good soda bread…. I love anything that can be whipped up at the last minute!
Visit Ilva's blog for the recipe and the details on being a Bread Baking Buddy this month.

There’s still time to add your photo to the others, Katie! (This bread really does take no time at all to make and bake.)
hehe I fully agree with Elizabeth!
Looks good!
Mine is up as well! Finally I might add *blushes* Thanks for the roundup Katie!
Now wouldn’t it be lovely if we could all meet at Ballymaloe!!
Wonderful! I love seeing all the babelicious loaves together like that.
Lucky you Katie, I have both the bread book and the Forgotten Skills of Cooking-both fantastic and I envy you who’s been THERE!
I loved everyone’s bread…. And I will be making this, after I get my life back on track (assuming that’s possible with our puppies). Ballymaloe is lovely. We stayed there when we went back to Ireland a few years ago – and it had become quite famous by then. Not so when we first visited. I’m ready to go back to Ireland anytime!
